During the tour, BellaEx engineers demonstrated how the mill operates continuously at 1–10 TPH (tons per hour), producing uniformly low-fines flakes around the clock. The mill’s core components include large-diameter, centrifugally cast high–Ni–Cr–Mo alloy rolls, dynamically balanced to deliver long life and excellent flake quality. A rigid base and square bearing housings maintain precise roll alignment, ensuring consistency even under demanding conditions.

A standout feature admired by the Saudi visitors was the mill’s precision hydraulic gap control system, which allows operators to adjust flake thickness on-line — without stopping production. This patented design reduces downtime and supports repeatable, high-quality output. The machine also integrates a SEW-driven feed roll. This stainless-steel feed roll, combined with a variable-frequency drive (VFD) and a hydraulic gate, ensures stable feeding, reduces surges, and accommodates recipe changes.

BellaEx representatives emphasized the economic advantages: very low operating cost per ton, high uptime, and easy maintenance with large access doors for quick roll changes. Over 300 units of this corn flaking mill have been installed globally over the past 12 years, including in regions such as Morocco, Dubai, and Venezuela.

The Saudi delegation expressed strong interest in integrating BellaEx’s flaking technology into their feed mills, citing benefits for their cattle and dairy sectors. BellaEx noted that such partnerships align with its mission to support efficient, high-quality feed production for international markets.
