The Bellaex oat flaking mill produces uniform, consistent, food-grade flakes. With its high throughput and efficiency, it delivers the lowest operating cost in the food-grain processing industry. Ideal for corn (dehulled and degermed), black beans, soybeans, oats, and other materials, it performs food-grade flaking to meet stringent specifications and precise tolerances.
Oat flaking mill for food-grade, multi-grain processing—oats, barley, wheat, and rye. Hygienic design with stainless contact surfaces and easy clean-out delivers uniform flake thickness and low fines; options for conditioning, cooling/drying, CIP, and sieving. Request specs.
Overview
The Bellaex oat flaking mill is engineered for continuous, high-efficiency 24/7 operation. The FO Series comes equipped with high Ni-Cr-Mo alloy rolls—premium centrifugally cast rolls that deliver robust flaking performance, low maintenance requirements, and high production reliability. With food-grade material upgrades throughout, the Bellaex oat flaking mill meets stricter cereal-flaking standards while enhancing safety and hygiene.
Applications: Bellaex FO Series oat flaking mills can be used in food-grade cereal processing (instant oatmeal, granola, muesli, cereal flakes), integrated grain-processing lines, bakery/snack ingredient preparation, and pre-toasting or pre-cooking stages.
Materials: Bellaex FO Series oat flaking mills can process corn (dehulled, degermed), black beans, red beans, soybeans, oats, barley, quinoa, puffed corn, and black rice.

Standard configuration (flaking mill): high Ni-Cr-Mo alloy rolls, hardness HS 75 ±3, dynamically balanced (verification provided). Optional IRLE ORT or Yenar rolls are available.
Gentle flaking for intact oat groats and ultra-low fines
Models from 0.5–3TPH (grain); scalable for larger capacities
True continuous 24/7 industrial duty
Steam/water-managed roll temperature
Quick, repeatable roll-gap control
Food-grade design
Advantages
The Bellaex grain flaking mill uses a sealed, food-grade enclosure and SS304 product-contact components to keep steam and dust within the processing area. This preserves groat moisture and protects adjacent equipment, resulting in cleaner operation, easier sanitation, and improved air quality.
Core advantages
The Bellaex grain flaking mill incorporates spring-loaded scrapers that continuously remove residual material from the roll surfaces—since steamed oats are prone to build-up and sticking—ensuring clean roll surfaces and consistent performance.
Core advantages
The Bellaex grain flaking mill uses square-section bearing housings paired with a heavy-duty base to maximize structural rigidity and load-bearing stability, keeping the flaking rolls precisely aligned over long-term operation. Its welded structural-steel frame is stress-relieved (annealed) after fabrication to enhance dimensional stability and provide effective vibration damping.
Core advantages
The Bellaex grain flaking mill employs an engineered feed module—an SEW-driven, VFD-controlled feed roll combined with a hydraulic feed gate—to build a uniform bed in the roll gap, ensuring stable, repeatable flaking performance.
Core advantages

The Bellaex grain flaking mill is equipped with a high-intensity magnetic separator (magnetic strength up to 10,000 gauss) to remove metallic impurities, while the adjustable feed gate regulates throughput to match roll-load requirements.
Core advantages
The Bellaex grain flaking mill uses our in-house-developed closed-loop hydraulic system to clamp the rolls and enable precise online gap adjustment—either manually or automatically via PLC—so the target flake thickness is maintained without stopping the line.

FAQ
The FO Series covers grain throughputs from 0.5–3 TPH. For oats specifically, the FO6100F model delivers 40–50 tons per 24 hours (≈1.7–2.1 TPH), depending on conditioning and recipe. Flake thickness is 0.40–0.50 mm and can be adjusted online without stopping the line.
A front-mounted high-pressure hydraulic gap control (patented) locks the rolls and enables precise, repeatable online adjustment. High Ni-Cr-Mo alloy rolls (25–30 mm chill, HS 75 ±3) are dynamically balanced, while rigid square bearing housings and a VFD-controlled feed module maintain bed stability. The self-cleaning scrapers prevent build-up so thickness stays consistent across the roll face.
Yes. All product-contact parts are SS304, the machine uses a fully enclosed design to contain steam and dust, and large clean-access doors speed sanitation. Optional features such as a 10,000-gauss magnet support HACCP and allergen-control programs.
In addition to oat groats, the FO Series handles corn (dehulled & degermed), soybeans, black/red beans, barley, quinoa, puffed corn, and black rice. Conditioning (steam/water and tempering) should match the specific material to achieve target density and fines levels.
Standard supply includes the main flaker body (roll assembly, SS304 housing, scrapers, leak-proof baffles), dual main motors with belts/pulleys, PLC hydraulic pump station, and SEW-driven feeder. Popular options: SKF premium bearings, IE3/IE4 drives, Siemens motors, centralized lubrication, bearing temperature monitoring, VFD for feeder, HMI/recipe presets, and stainless upgrades for additional non-contact parts.
